Worker injured on swing ride at Lake Winnie

Georgia officials investigating incident

LAKEVIEW, Georgia (WDEF) – The Georgia Insurance Commission is investigating an incident at Lake Winnie on Tuesday.

Park officials say there was an operator issue on the Wave Swinger ride.

The Wave Swinger has individual chairs attached to chains that swing out over the lake.

Lake Winnie officials say the worker was injured and got medical treatment.

They say no park visitors were injured in the incident.

Catoosa County officials report that a 16 year old female fell from the ride into the lake.
