World War II artillery shell found in Sequatchie County
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – It wasn’t your normal 911 call in Sequatchie County.
On Wednesday, a resident calling saying he had found an old artillery shell in the county.
Detectives responded and discovered the un-exploded round was a 75MM shell from World War II.
So they moved it to a vacant field and waited for the Chattanooga Bomb Squad.
The bomb squad technicians then blew it up, safely.
No one was hurt.
You can skip ahead to around 6:00 minutes to just watch it go boom.
