World’s Longest Yard Sale Happening This Weekend
Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The World’s Longest Yard Sale kicked off Thursday morning. It starts in Gadsden, Alabama, travels across Taft Highway, and all the way to Michigan. the route covers 690 miles.
You can check out everything from furniture, and antiques, to knick knacks.
There’s even a hot dog stand in Signal Mountain, where you can grab a fresh dog to begin your journey.
Travis Poole, who operates the hot dog stand said, Selling hot dogs with my wife and my daughters and them dressing up in the hotdog costume and getting to spend time with our vendors and customers that come back year after year.”
Travis expects to sell more than 500 hot dogs and bologna sandwiches this year. He even feeds local law enforcement and firefighters who work the yard sale for free.
