Young woman shot Sunday night near East Lake Courts

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are investigating the shooting of a young woman Sunday night near the East Lake Courts.

It happened before 10 P-M in the 2700 block of 6th Avenue.

Police say a 22 year old woman suffered a life threatening wound.

Investigators say she was inside a vehicle when someone began shooting and the bullet hit the vehicle.
