1 arrested, 1 at large in Tennessee home invasion, robbery
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – One man has been arrested and one woman remains at large after authorities say they broke into a home and held a family at gunpoint.
WTVF-TV reports that Metro Nashville police say Jeffrey McNew was arrested Monday morning in connection with the Sunday morning home invasion in Nashville.
Police say McNew and a woman took the 14-year-old son and a friend sleeping over into the parents’ bedroom and held all four at gunpoint, after entering through a kitchen window. Police say they forced the father to drive them to an ATM to withdraw $400, and then stole the family’s car and jewelry, change and other valuable.
The victims were not injured.
It’s unclear how McNew was arrested. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
