No problems and few students at Ooltewah High on Tuesday
OOLTEWAH (WDEF) – School officials report no problems today at Ooltewah High after two threats of violence for Tuesday.
But many parents chose to keep their children at home.
We heard reports of some classes this morning with less than ten students.
And the parking lots were almost empty.
Hamilton County deputies investigated the threats and found that they were not credible.
But the Sheriff posted extra deputies on campus to be sure.
In a statement Tuesday afternoon, school officials said “Please know that Hamilton County Department of Education and the Ooltewah High School administration take all threats seriously, and we will continue to strive for all campuses in our system to be as safe as possible.”
“We anticipate all students returning to regular classes tomorrow morning.”
