Walker County Commissioner leaving Republican party

LaFayette, Georgia (WDEF) Will Walker County Commissioner still be a Republican after today?

Qualifying ends today for local races in Georgia.

And Walker County’s top political officer holder says her party doesn’t want her anymore.

Bebe Heiskell told WQCH radio on Thursday “I feel a little like Donald Trump. The Republican Party rejecgted him, and now the local party has rejected me, in my opinion.”

She says the local Tea Party has taken over the Republican Party leadership and is hostile to her.
