11 East Ridge officers and firefighters receive Life-Saving Award

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)  — Erlanger Health System recognized members of the East Ridge Fire Department and Police Department on Thursday.

A ceremony was held at the hospital in Chattanooga. Local government officials, public safety administrators and Erlanger staff attended. Some members of the public did as well.

They awarded some first responders with the “Life-Saving Award,” for providing life-saving measures for two patients.

Officials noted the reason for their award was the quick thinking and decisive actions of these responders, as well as their heroism.

A public safety recognition ceremony was held to give this award to 11 deserving firefighters and officers.
