15 people injured in I 75 chain collision pileup
RINGGOLD, Georgia (WDEF) – Plenty of body work, but no serious injuries in a pileup on I 75 this morning in Northwest Georgia.
Troopers say around 35 vehicles were involved.
It happened in Catoosa County around 9:45 AM near the Highway 40/Ringgold exit on the northbound side.
15 Several people were transported to area hospitals from the crash with non-life-threatening injuries.
Another 14 people were taken by bus to a secondary scene where family members could pick them up.

The interstate was closed for about four house while police cleaned up the site.

GDOT applied salt to melt the ice while Georgia Emergency Management dealt with the 100 gallons of diesel fuel that was spilled at the scene.
The interstate is now back open.
