2 arrested in slaying of Memphis music instructor

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Memphis police say two men have been charged in the slaying of a music teacher.

Police tell media outlets that 22-year-olds Nicholas Brooks and Ladarius Wilson were arrested in the death of 30-year-old Christopher Waters.

Memphis police spokeswoman Lt. Karen Rudolph says Brooks is charged with first-degree murder and Wilson is charged with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

Wilson’s body was found at his Memphis home Friday. He was an instructor at a music store and also taught in Shelby County’s school system.

It wasn’t immediately known whether Brooks and Wilson have attorneys.
