Festival Helps Children in Need

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Some Chattanooga residents enjoy Saturday’s nice weather to raise money for a good cause.

Thousands came out to the Tennessee Riverpark for the 27th annual Autumn Children’s Festival. It’s the largest one in the Tennessee Valley.

Event goers enjoyed everything from inflateables and arts and crafts, to pumpkin decorating and a petting zoo.

Money raised from the activities will go toward Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provides a “home away from home” for families with sick children.

The non-profit hopes to raise $65,000 this weekend.

The festival runs again Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
