21st Annual Chattanooga Oktoberfest come to First Horizon Pavilion

Cropped OktoberfestlogoonlyfThe 21st annual Oktoberfest kicked off at the First Horizon Pavilion Saturday afternoon. This free two-day festival lasts until 5 p.m. Sunday, October 9th. The event features German cultural experiences such as a live oompah music, authentic food, German contests and games, and polka dancing.

Melissa Lail is an organizer for the festival, she said this is an opportunity for local vendors to showcase their German cuisine.

“People who food artisans who love to make a special occasion food like German food, musicians, the employer band and the community, it’s just a big gathering,” said Lail.

Leo James was a patron at the event on Saturday,  “We came here to enjoy the beer and the atmosphere and to be engulfed in the Chattanoogans and enjoy some Oktober Festival activities of 2022.”

Organizers want to remind anyone planning to come out tomorrow that dog and pets are not allowed at the pavillion and to bring their I D if they plan to take part in the drinking activities.
