Man Arrested in Soddy-Daisy Shooting

SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Soddy-Daisy man is behind bars, accused of trying to kill someone.

Police say 74-year-old John Richard Jones shot someone outside of a home on Old Dayton Pike shortly after 12:30 a.m., Saturday.

Investigators are now charging him with attempted murder.

Jones is being held in the Hamilton County jail on more than $200,000 bond.

He will face a judge November 1.
