More schools close Wednesday from illness

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The list of schools closing because of illness grew considerably for Wednesday.

Hamilton County schools remain open with just a few absences, but the system has janitors cleansing schools anyway.

Here is a look at the other systems on the list.

Bradley County Schools: Closed Through Friday; due to illness
Cleveland City Schools: Closed Through Friday; due to illness
Marion County School: Closed Through Friday; due to illness
Monroe County Schools: Closed Through Friday; due to illness
Polk County Schools: Closed Wednesday; due to illness
Richard Hardy Mem School: Will be open this week
Sweetwater City Schools: Closed Through Friday; Due to illness

CLEVELAND CITY SCHOOLS:
Due to an increasing number of absences as a result of illness, Cleveland City Schools will be closed Wednesday, February 8, Thursday, February 9, and Friday, February 10. School will re-open on Monday, February 13. During this time our janitorial services will conduct a thorough cleaning of all buildings. All meetings, extra-curricular events, and ASU are also closed. Twelve month employees will work regular schedule.
