Credit Union Opens New Hamilton County Branch

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A local credit union opens a new branch in Hamilton County.

Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union officially unveiled its East Hamilton Branch inside the Food City on Ooltewah-Ringgold Road, Thursday.

This branch has extended hours.

It also features two interactive teller machines, where customers use a touch screen to talk to a personal teller and make basic transactions.

TVFCU says these ITMs are the future of banking.

“We’re the first in Chattanooga to go this route, but I think it will be the new innovative way to go in the financial industry,” said Lisa Elrod, Vice President of Branch Operations. 

Elrod says the ITMs should be at almost every TVFCU drive thru by the summer.
