Baylor’s Brendon Harris Nominated For U.S. Army All-American Bowl

ROCKAWAY, N.J. (May 25, 2017) – Fifteen of Tennessee’s top football players in the class of 2018, including Baylor’s Brendon Harris, have been nominated to play in the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Bowl presented by American Family Insurance. Those nominated are in the running to be among the 100 officially selected as 2018 U.S. Army All-Americans and to play in the annual Bowl held every January, televised live on NBC to more than five million unique television viewers.
“The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is a unique event designed to showcase and recognize the talents of America’s youth while celebrating the team that makes a difference every day for the Nation – the U.S. Army,” said Mark S. Davis, deputy assistant secretary of the Army for marketing. “This nomination recognizes the versatility and adaptability each of these players possess, both on and off the field; qualities they share with U.S. Army Soldiers. We look forward to the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Bowl program that includes more than 200 events across the country and culminates in San Antonio during Bowl Week.”

Of the 400 nominees, 100 will ultimately be selected and invited to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the nation’s premier high school sporting event.
For 18 consecutive years, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has been America’s most-watched and most-discussed high school sporting event. Hundreds of America’s current college and NFL stars – like Odell Beckham Jr., Andrew Luck, Patrick Peterson, Adrian Peterson, Joe Thomas, Ezekiel Elliott, Tyron Smith, Eric Berry, Christian McCaffrey, and Sam Darnold – have ended their high school careers at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The 2017 U.S. Army All-American Bowl drew a crowd of 40,568 at San Antonio’s Alamodome and was watched by more than five million unique viewers on NBC – both are records for a high school all-star event.
