5th annual Butterfly Festival to remember Katie Beth Carter
This week in Ringgold, Georgia was the 5th annual butterfly festival to remember and honor the life of former Heritage High School student Katie Beth Carter.
This event is put on each year on Labor Day weekend by the Carter family and Live and Love Ministries to memorialize their daughter Katie Beth who died in a car accident on Labor Day in 2016. Amy Carter said this event is exactly the type of family bonding her daughter enjoyed
“We started it as a way to honor and remember Katie Beth, and also to thank our community for their support during our time of loss. It’s also become our annual fundraising event to support the Katie Beth scholarship fund where we give scholarships to students here at Heritage High School and also Jacksonville State University in her memory.”
Live and Love Ministries gives out three scholarships a year from the proceeds, to donate to the scholarship fund click here.
