UPDATE:6th Avenue Stabbing: Victim’s Name Released

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The victim’s name has been released from last night’s stabbing case, 40-year-old Marcus Allen.

Allen was found dead on the 2500 block of 6th avenue in Chattanooga last night.

Police got a call around 5 this evening, and found one victim dead in his home.

Currently there is one person of interest in custody.

Witnesses at the scene are cooperating with police and some tell us that it was a domestic dispute.

Although this was a stabbing case officials are not ruling it as the cause of death.

“His injuries are indicative a stab wounds, we can’t confirm that is the cause of death however, we do have person of interest detained and we do have witnesses  that are cooperating and working with officers,” stated Elisa Myzal, the Chattanooga Police Information Officer.

Police have not released the names of the victim or the person of interest.
