Juvenile facing several charges in connection with Chattanooga’s latest homicide
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police say a juvenile is in custody after a homicide on North Chamberlain Avenue.
Police responded to a shots fired call on North Chamberlain Avenue and Wilder Street just before 10:30 Monday night.
Police say they found 19 year old Shawnquell Stanfield lying on the ground and she had been shot multiple times.
EMS transported the victim to a local hospital where she died.
Police say they were able to identify the suspect and while being interviewed, the suspect admitted to shooting the victim.
The juvenile suspect is charged with Criminal Homicide, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, Especially Aggravated Robbery, Theft over $10,000 and Felony Reckless Endangerment.
Suspect transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.
