Marsha Blackburn and Phil Bredesen debate tonight in Nashville

NASHVILLE (WDEF) – It could by the hottest race for Tennessee voters this November.

And tonight the candidates for U.S. Senate debate for the first time.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn and former Governor Phil Bredesen face each other at Cumberland University at 7 EST.

Blackburn and Bredesen are running to replace Bob Corker in the Senate.

They will not debate in Chattanooga.

Bredesen accepted an invitation by Chattanooga Times Free Press for a local debate.

But the Blackburn camp wanted Fox News to join the debate and the newspaper refused.
