Georgia Will Try to Continue Dominance Against Rival Ga Tech

Georgia and Georgia Tech are playing for more than bragging rights.
With identical 9-2 records, both teams are still in the running for a big bowl game.
Even though Georgia has won 12 of the last 13 meetings against Georgia Tech, the Dawgs still treat the match-up as a full blown rivalry.
Said nose guard David Thornton,"I grew up in Georgia, so I kind of know the whole background of Georgia versus Tech. It has always been a heated rivalry, and it will definitely be the same way this year."
Said head coach Mark Richt,"It’s a game we care very much about. I know our coaches and players do. I know our fans do. It’s a game you’ve got to be physically and mentally tough."
The Yellow Jackets know they’ll have to get physical in trying to stop Georgia running back Nick Chubb.
Said Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson,"He’s the best guy we have played. He and the Conner kid from Pitt are both really good. He’s an outstanding back."
Georgia gave up a lot of rushing yards to Florida.
And the ground game is the M-O for the Yellow Jackets with their option offense.
Said Thornton,"We have to focus on our keys more so than trying to make tackles for our own stats. We’ve got to play as a team this week."
Dawgs quarterback Hutson Mason earned his first career start last year against Georgia Tech, replacing the injured Aaron Murray.
Georgia rallied to win 41-34 in double overtime.
Said Mason,"Kind of realizing I need to play better and start better than I did last year. Getting down 20-0 on a rivalry game on the road is as bad as it can get for a first year starter."
Said Tech receiver DeAndre Smelter,"I feel like we had a good shot at them last year. Anytime you get another shot at a team, you always want to take advantage of it."
