Serious Crash on I 24 west of Chattanooga

UPDATE: From the THP:  The Honda Civic driver was from Chicago.  It hit the guardrail and then ran under the rear axle of the truck from New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  Both driver and passenger in the Honda were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

MARION COUNTY, Tennessee (WDEF) – A serious crash is blocking traffic on I 24 west of Chattanooga.

An 18 Wheeler has run over a Honda Hybrid.

The crash happened around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon between the I 59 interchange and Nickajack Lake.

TDOT reports the crash is not expected to be cleared until around 4 PM.
