Peach Co Beats Calhoun 22-7 to Advance to State Title Game

Calhoun, GA-(WDEF-TV) Peach Co defeated Calhoun 22-7 on Friday night to advance to the 3A state title game. The Trojans blocked a punt in the first quarter, which set up their first touchdown of the game. Calhoun scored on a Gavin Gray quarterback sneak to start the second quarter to tie the game at seven. A bobbled punt snap gave Peach Co excellent field position later in the second period, and they cashed in with a touchdown pass from Jaydon Gibson to Justin Harris. That made it 13-7. Calhoun had another costly fumble before the end of the first half. The Trojans only other touchdown came on an interception return in the fourth quarter.
