College Street to close in Athens

ATHENS — The City of Athens Public Works Department has announced College Street will close on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

The area to be affected is College Street from Jackson Street to Long Street.

Motorists are advised to use extreme caution and watch for traffic signage, workers, and pedestrians.

Motorists should allocate additional time for traffic delays when traveling in this area.

The purpose of this closing is for Tennessee Wesleyan University’s Bull Dog Bash event.
