Kitchen fire damages apartment

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Fire Department was called to an apartment fire on West 38th Street around 2 P.M. Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters say there was no sign of fire until Lt. Mack Ridge went inside the apartment and found fire in the kitchen.

According to the Chattanooga Fire Department, firefighters were able to contain the fire to the kitchen.

The Chattanooga Fire Department says no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
