Sheriff arrests 17 year old for Andrew, NC murder

ANDREWS, North Carolina (WDEF) Cherokee County Sheriff Derrick Palmer announces the arrest of a teenager for a fatal shooting in Andrews, North Carolina last week.

Officers got the 911 call about a shooting at a home last Tuesday night.

They found the body of 27 year old Alexander Bryant at the residence.

Andrews Police, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina Bureau of Investigation all took part.

They charged 17 year old Jadon Luke Spivey from Andrews with murder.

But the Sheriff isn’t releasing more information about the case.

Sheriff Palmer and Chief Wooten stated “There are a lot of questions that are being asked to help us find answers as we continue this joint investigation. We would like to thank the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Office of District Attorney Ashley Welch for their valuable assistance and advice during this very difficult time for all concerned. Because of the nature of the crime we do not anticipate any further information being released from our offices.”
