Home damaged by fire in the Enclave Subdivision

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Fire Department battled a house fire in the Enclave subdivision in Stuart Heights this afternoon.

The subdivision is on the Tennessee River near Hixson Pike.

The call came in after 4PM.

The first crews found heavy smoke coming from the eves of the house.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to a couple of rooms, but most of the house suffered smoke damage.

The residents were not at home at the time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
