Suspect detained, his passenger injured after chase involving Collegedale Police ends in Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A chase involving Collegedale Police ended with a crash in Chattanooga.
The chase started on Little Debbie Parkway as a traffic stop for multiple traffic offenses, according to Collegedale Police.
They say that officers approached the vehicle and that’s when the suspect took off in the car.
Officials say that the registration on the vehicle came back as a stolen tag.
Police say that a passenger tried to exit the vehicle as it was fleeing and the passenger was eventually able to exit the vehicle near Volkswagen. They say the suspect ran over the passenger and kept going.
From that point, the chase left the Volkswagen area.
