Update: One dead after crash on Brainerd Road

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – UPDATE: One person has died following Mondays crash.

According to Chattanooga Police, 37-year-old Bethany Schklar passed away as result of her injuries on Friday.

Schklar was a teacher at Normal Park School in Chattanooga.

Chattanooga Police say it happened Monday morning just before 9 at the intersection of Brainerd Road and Elmwood Drive.

Traffic investigators say it involved two cars.

According to police, two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries and another person was transported with minor injuries.

Part of the road was closed off for several hours as police investigated the incident.
