Teenager seriously injured by golf cart wreck in Whitfield subdivision
UPDATE: The Dalton Daily Citizen reports that the teen seriously hurt in the crash is rising golf star Audrey Grace Holder.
In her first year, she helped lead the Northwest Whitfield team to the state tournament and made the Daily Citizen All Area First Team.
She suffered a severe head wound.
Her high school principal told the paper she was sedated and in stable condition and doctors seemed very positive.
Her coach said Holder had movement in her extremities before they sedated her.

VARNELL, Georgia (WDEF) – A golf cart wreck Sunday night injured four teens in Whitfield County.
It happened around 7 PM in the Highland Forest Subdivision north of Varnell.
The Georgia State Patrol reports that the driver lost control of the golf cart on Charolais Trail.
Scrape marks indicate that the cart slid a long distance on its side.
All four people in the cart were under 16.
Three of them suffered on minor injuries.
But a 16 year old girl, riding in the back seat, was ejected during the wreck.
She was flown to a local hospital for treatment, but we do not know her condition.
No charges have been filed against the driver at this point, but the investigation is continuing.
