Birmingham murder suspect caught in Hamilton County

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A suspect wanted in Birmingham has been captured in the Chattanooga area.

30 year old Sharonda James is suspected of shooting and killing a Piggly Wiggly employee on Christmas Eve in Birmingham.

Police there say she got into a fight with Jerika Manuel when the shorts were fired (see Birmingham CBS 42 video above).

She was taken into custody today by U.S. Marshalls and members of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (FAST).
