Police arrest 2nd suspect in Renaissance Park murder

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have now charged a second suspect in connection to a deadly shooting in Renaissance Park a year and a half ago.

In July of 2017, police were called to a shooting somewhere along the Riverfront on the North Shore around midnight.

They found the body of a woman on the pier of the park.

A couple of weeks later, they arrested Tyree Tichion Corley for murder and aggravated robbery.  But he committed suicide in jail.

Then 19 months later, they make a second arrest.

On Friday, the Chattanooga Fugitive Unit, Street Crimes Unit, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit, and the U.S. Marshals worked together to apprehend 23 year old Devonte Saddler.

He also will face a Felony Murder Charge, along with Especially Aggravated Robbery.
