Two found dead in Chattanooga Saturday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police said two people were found dead on Saturday, March 4. The two deaths are not related, according to police.

At 3 p.m. on Saturday, someone called police after finding a dead man on the 3400 block of Brainerd Road. The deceased was lying behind a building.

The location is between Germantown Road and McCallie Avenue.

The CPD said they could not identify the deceased man. He was in the early stages of decomposition, they said.

Chattanooga Police are investigating.

At 7 p.m. on March 4, someone called the police after finding a dead person in a Walmart bathroom.

The deceased was a 35-year-old white male, according to CPD. He was found at the Walmart Supercenter on Gunbarrel Road.

Chattanooga Police said they found fentanyl, needles and insulin on the scene.

They believe this was an accidental overdose.
