NASHVILLE (WDEF) – Parents now have a month to appeal if their Tennessee student is in danger of being held back in the third grade.

The window opens today for the appeals process following the TCAP test results on the English Language Arts (ELA).

Parents should have been notified by now if their child did not meet the assessment to move on to the fourth grade.

If you do not win an appeal, your student will need to get help in the summer or a tutor for next year before they can advance.

You can start the appeals form by clicking here.

The deadline to appeal is June 30th.
