Flash flooding reported across area

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Parts of Hamilton County dealt with torrential rain this morning.

So much rain fell across the Red Bank and Hixson areas that the National Weather Service (NWS) had to issue a Flash Flood Warning.

There was a NWS report of a vehicle stranded.

The intersection of Hixson Pike and Lupton Drive, where flash flooding was reported Wednesday morning.

There were temporary road closures including along Hixson Pike and Lupton Drive.

Those roads have since reopened.

There was also a flash flood warning issued for Bradley County this morning.

In addition, there was flooding reported in parts of Chickamauga, Georgia as well.
