WDEF News 12, Wholesale Supply Scholar Athlete of the Year

This year’s News 12 and Wholesale Supply Scholar Athlete of the Year is Cleveland High School student basketball player, Paige Moody.

Moody was selected due to her 4.0 GPA as well as her basketball excellence.

In the classroom, she studied AP classes and was a member of the National Honor Society. As for her play on the court, she broke a 25-year-old record for most made three-pointers in a game.

“It’s awesome to know that I have people behind me that stand behind me and support me in everything… in my decisions. I think it really like shows and honors, like what the work I put in and how I got here and like the support that I’ve gotten to get here. So just admiring the work that I’ve done to get to this point,” said Moody.

She will be using this scholarship as she will be attending Bryan College.

At the end of the school year, WDEF and Wholesale Supply Group selected one of the weekly honorees to award receive a scholarship to be paid directly to the college of their choice.  This scholarship can be used to cover the cost of books, tuition and/or fees.
