US Postal Service to host statewide hiring event

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The United States Postal Service (USPS) is prepping for an immense hiring event across Tennessee.

On August 30, anyone interested can stop by Tennessee USPS locations to apply for a job.

The one-day “Mega-Blitz” job fair will last from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. They are hiring for their Tennessee delivery team.

Staff at any of the 400 Tennessee locations will be ready to assist in the application process.

USPS is hiring for three positions: City Carrier Assistant, Rural Carrier Associate and Assistant Rural Carrier.

Salaries start from $19.33 to $19.94 per hour. USPS says these positions can potentially lead to full-time opportunities.
