Unwanted medication drop off spots for Drug Take Back Day
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – There are 18 locations across the Tennessee Valley taking part in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day this year.
On Saturday, stop by between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and drop off old and expired medications, vape pens and e-cigarette devices.
These are just the locations set up by the Hamilton County Coalition and Drug Enforcement Administration.
Unused medications can lead to addiction if other family members get them.
Simply flushing them can be a problem for the water supply.
“We are so grateful that we are able to provide this service to our community,” says Hamilton County Coalition Executive Director Camilla Bibbs-Lee. “Keeping unneeded medication in the home is a safety risk that can be avoided by bringing them to a drop-off site on Drug Take Back Day.”
