UTC names new health science building
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The University of Tennessee-Chattanooga has announced the name of their new Health Sciences Building.
It will be the Dorothy and Jim Kennedy Health Sciences Building.
The Kennedys are UTC alums who are giving $8 million to ensure the project is completed.
It will be the new home of the School of Nursing at UTC.
Officials say without this gift, the project might not have been completed.
It will be located near Erlanger to allow students easy access to clinicals.
It is expected to break ground next year and be ready in 2026.
