American Red Cross accepting Veteran Holiday Cards

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Tennessee Region of the American Red Cross is asking the public to help make holiday cards for veterans.

The cards will be delivered to those on active duty as well as those who are in hospitals.

The Red Cross plays an important role in advocating for veterans’ benefits.

They also provide more than 1 million active-duty and national guard members with valuable resources.

 “We want to make sure that our military men and women both serving actively and retired know how important they are in the lives of all Americans know that their sacrifice is recognized and heard,” said Sherri McKinney, Director of Communications for Tennessee Red Cross

Unsealed holiday cards can be sent or dropped off no later than December 1st.
