PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WDEF) — Dollywood will soon be holding auditions for a new musical show.

Dollywood’s entertainment team will be in Nashville on Friday, December 15 to hold auditions.

The musical show will tell the story of Dolly Parton through her songs and stories. The shows will be held at the theme park in Pigeon Forge.

Those interested may audition by appointment only. Register for an audition here.

The deadline to register will be December 8. But they will accept registrations until all audition slots are filled.

Call backs will occur on the same day as audition as well.

Dollywood is casting female and male country singers. However, they are specifically looking to cast “female country music singers who can move and dance in musical numbers that will be featured throughout the new show,” the park stated in a press release.

They ask those auditioning to prepare two contrasting country songs of 45 seconds each. They will provide a piano accompanist.

Those auditioning may also bring their own guitar, hand-held instrument or phone with accompaniment track.

Dollywood’s entertainment team asks auditionees to bring a resume and headshot.

To be accepted, performers must be at least 18 years old.
