GoFundMe confirms Northshore crash victims were mother and son

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — More information has emerged regarding the fatal Frazier Avenue crash from Saturday in Chattanooga’s Northshore.

Family members of the deceased created a GoFundMe, which confirms one-year-old Jonathan Devia, and 41-year-old Ana Posso Rodriguez, were mother and son.

The family had immigrated from Colombia to Jacksonville, Florida.

The GoFundMe post said Rodriguez had three daughters, who are young adults. She was soon to become a grandmother.

The family said Rodriguez had always wanted a son, and having Jonathan Devia fulfilled that dream.

Their neighbors in Jacksonville said this is a massive loss for their community.

“They were caring people. They were loving people… When is he going on trial? Because I would like to be there. I would like to express my feelings about what he did.”

The GoFundMe for the family had raised over $25,000 to help pay for funeral and hospital expenses.

Rodriguez’s husband is still in critical condition in a local hospital, according to the family.

On Wednesday, News 12 learned about the aftermath of the crash, and that the suspect is now in jail.
