K9 Gunther retiring from Chattanooga Police Department
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Police Department is honoring one of their K9s for his service. K9 Gunther is now retiring, CPD stated on Thursday.
He served with the police department for three years.
In that time, Gunther had a hefty resume.
He discovered more than 150 firearms, 5,200 rounds of ammunition, 154 shell casings and six explosive devices.
The CPD said the K9 is now retiring early due to health complications. They did not state what those complications were.
The police department thanks K9 Gunther for his service.
