First Wreaths Delivered to Cemetery for Wreaths Across Chattanooga

Some of the first wreaths being delivered for Wreaths Across Chattanooga.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The first wreaths truck delivered today for Wreaths Across Chattanooga.

These wreaths were unloaded at the Chattanooga National Cemetery for specific graves.

This is just a fraction of the wreaths that will be placed across the cemetery tomorrow.

Wreaths Across Chattanooga, which is doing their wreath placements separately from Wreaths Across America this year, says they are ready to honor the veterans laid to rest.

Bill Norton with Wreaths Across Chattanooga said, “We have almost a thousand wreaths here today for wreaths specific, tomorrow we will have over 20 plus thousand.>\”

The rest of those 20,000 wreaths will be delivered starting at 7:30 tomorrow morning.and a brief ceremony followed by wreath placements will begin at 9.

They say anyone can show up to help place them.
