Body of 22-year-old duck hunter recovered from Alabama lake
LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WDEF) — Alabama authorities found the body of a duck hunter who has been missing since Saturday.
WHNT reported that the body of 22-year-old Brooks Hardie was found at 3:30 a.m. on Monday. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) found the body.
According to ALEA, Hardie was hunting Saturday morning at Lake Guntersville near the Goose Pond Resort.
They said he was hunting around 8 a.m. when his kayak overturned. He went underwater and never resurfaced, authorities explained.
ALEA is continuing their investigation.
Hardie was a 22-year-old Georgia native and baseball player. He was a graduate of Bremen High School, which is west of Atlanta.
