Volunteers needed to remove wreaths from Chattanooga National Cemetery

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Wreaths Across Chattanooga is getting ready to retire the wreaths until next Christmas season.

On December 9, volunteers helped lay a wreath on the gravesite of every veteran in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

But on Saturday, January 20, it will be time to retire those wreaths.

Wreaths Across Chattanooga is asking for volunteers to help remove the wreaths from the gravesites in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

You do not need to register to do so. Simply be at the cemetery at 8:30 a.m. that day.

The organization said volunteers may park at the cemetery.

Anyone who wants to remove a wreath from a loved one’s grave must do so before January 20, 2024.

Wreaths Across Chattanooga also wants to thank everyone who donated financially or donated their time and services by helping place wreaths this year.
