City of Lafayette working to repair water outage

UPDATE:

The City of Lafayette said all water services have been restored as of 8:45 p.m. on Thursday.

LAFAYETTE, Ga. (WDEF) — The City of Lafayette is facing a water outage in western parts of the city and the Linwood area.

The water outages are due to a water main break on 3rd Avenue.

They originally reported the outage around 4 p.m. on Thursday.

At that time, they said crews were on scene working to fix the break. They had hoped service would be restored by 5 or 6 p.m.

However, the city provided an update at 7 p.m., noting the outage was still ongoing.

They said it may take another hour or two until service was fully restored.
