I-24 shut down by wreck in Grundy County

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Interstates around Chattanooga are clear at this point.

But I-24 gets difficult once you hit Monteagle Mountain.

From there all the way to Nashville, it’s dicey.

In fact, the interstate is closed, westbound, on the other side of Monteagle Mountain.

An 18-wheeler has spun across the interstate at Pelham, blocking traffic.

The interstate towards Knoxville is in better shape.

But I-75 and I-40 are treacherous when you get there.
