Color Chattanooga Pink! week begins January 20

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Mayor Tim Kelly and the City of Chattanooga proclaimed January 20-27 as Color Chattanooga Pink! week to support those fighting breast cancer.
Wendy’s, being the Color Chattanooga Pink! sponsor, is hosting CHI Memorial mobile mammography coaches. At specific locations, the community can receive screening mammograms.
These are the locations and times that Wendy’s will be holding screening mammograms:

They do accept walk-ons, but appointments can be made by calling 423-495-4040.
“The MaryEllen Locher Breast Center has grant funds to help cover the cost of the screening mammogram for qualifying women who are uninsured or under-insured,” CHI Memorial explained in a press release.
Chattanooga leaders encourage city residents to show support for the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center by wearing pink this week. The city is additionally asking local businesses to light their buildings pink, display pink merchandise, serve pink drinks or take part in any other way.

Those who participate can post a picture or video to the Pink! Facebook and Instagram pages using hashtag #colorchattanoogapink or #PINKnooga.
All proceeds from Color Chattanooga Pink! week and the Pink! gala will go to the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center in Chattanooga.
Since 2006, these events have raised $5.6 million for the center.
