Mother Found Dead in Apartment Investigated as Homicide

Family members say Rosa Taylor Chatman was the woman found dead on the floor of the second story of a College Hill Courts Apartment.

A Housing Department Official found her during a maintenance check, and police say signs of struggle were found, so they’re treating this as a homicide.

"Our homicide detectives and major crimes detectives have arrived on the scene and currently processing the apartment and interview3ing witnesses and seeking help from anybody for information about what happens here," said Police Chief Fred Fletcher.

Family and friends says she was outgoing and loved taking care of children and was always looking out for others.
Now a grieving family of the victims children, mother, and sibling are grieving and desperate for justice.

"I hope they get the same thing that happened to her that’s what I want the same thing that happened to her I want him to get the same thing," said the victims brother Kevin Taylor.

Police still can’t even say if she was killed or how she may have been killed.
The mystery only deepens the hurt.

"I miss my sister already, I loved my sister, it hurts," Taylor said.
